Some of our readers are on the front lines, working in hospitals directly with COVID-19 patients. Com- panies are donating personal protective equipment and making financial contributions to community food and healthcare support groups. Others have piv- oted to manufacture face shields and hand sanitizer. Businesses have found creative ways to stay open and support customers while practicing social distancing. Companies have made commitments to provide test- ing, clinical research and manufacturing services for desperately needed vaccine and therapy candidates. In academia, scientists are pursuing new research while consultants provide key support. Conference organizers who produce events that we all enjoy for learning and camaraderie are finding new ways to present and share information. And thousands of peo- ple have worked from home to flatten disease curves and care for children who temporarily cannot attend school. At the same time, the inhalation community continues to support patients who have asthma, COPD and other diseases.
