The Xelum continuous manufacturing platform offers high flexibility, shorter
development times and ultimately a lower production cost. Minimal API usage and direct
transfer from development to production without the need for scale up are some of the
key market requirements that Xelum addresses. Precise dosing (below 1% API) can be
achieved through a mass dosing. Xelum utilizes already proven fluid bed granulation
technology as opposed to the usual twin screw for granulation. This allows a superior
granule quality to be achieved during every batch and eliminates any need for the
transfer of wet product.
