Carroll College will open two new facilities next year that may be
particularly interesting to students. e new Perkins Call Canine
Center houses the Anthrozoology program. e facilities includes
canine training and care areas as well as classroom space for this unique
academic program. e E. L. Wiegand Nursing Simulation Center
opened in the spring, and is home to a new fleet of simulated patience
and state of the art medical training facilities. Visitors oen see the
Hunthausen Activity Center a highlight of the tour and it is common to
see students checking out kayaks, bikes, or climbing gear at the center
when students tour.
Hazelbaker also noted that Helena is a great community to visit during
the summer with miles of hiking and biking trails, along with easy access
to the surrounding lakes.
