BICSI South Pacific Seminars Turn Virtual The global pandemic caused many events around the world to be cancelled, but BICSI South Pacific wasn't going to allow their second quarter bi-weekly presentations to be cut. Instead, they arranged for the previously in-person presentations to be delivered via webinars. Since 24 March 2020, BICSI South Pacific has been hosting its seminars online, ensuring members have access to quality education on important industry topics. Thanks to the generosity of BICSI Corporate Members, R&M and Fluke Networks, BICSI South Pacific seminars have been hosted on their webinar platforms to professionally present and record seminars every two weeks. Some topics have included: WLAN Technologies and Heat Mapping; Smart Cities & Buildings; Testing Standards; Optical Fiber Trends; and 5G Networks. The webinar program is currently scheduled to the end of the second quarter, but may continue into the third quarter, depend- ing on when government restrictions are eased. Once permis- sion has been granted by respective governments to hold large events, BICSI South Pacific will return to holding physical seminars and other industry events. Visit bicsi.com.au and click on Events Calendar for the most up-to-date schedule. On 30 June 2020, BICSI South Pacific will host "The Working Mechanics of Wi-Fi 6 Technologies," presented by Craig Els of Telegistics. Register now for this free event. EVENTS Page 15
