RETAILOBSERVER.COM JULY 2020 38 R E S I D E N T I A L D E TA C H E D S T R U C T U R E R&R Build and Design Carrollton, Georgia A client with a large family and kids transitioning into college wanted to create a space for them to enjoy on the week- ends at their lake house retreat. After completing some minor deck renovations, the focus turned to a buffer lot the client owned. With a grade change of 12 feet over 20 feet, a rocky soil structure and a ravine with a small stream spreading it from the lake home, the buffer lot was not conducive to building. However, an in-depth review and planning helped bring a secluded treehouse with a 55-foot walking bridge to life. The client wanted a space for light weight and cardio workouts but did not want to convert or lose space in their existing home. After reviewing a few options, it was determined that a small addition to a 2011 addition was the most practical solution. It was a rare occasion to know what was behind the walls like x-ray vision. xceence E 2020 EVENING OF ( PART TWO )
