VOLUME 42 I NUMBER 4 I APRIL 2018 VOLUME 44 I NUMBER 7 I JULY 2020 MACC Member Business Relief Fund In order to support local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce created the MACC Member Business Relief Fund that provided grants to qualifying chamber member businesses. These funds were deployed from MACC's Marietta Community Foundation Fund which was established in 2007 from the sale of the Biszantz-Bosworth House. This house was home to MACC for two decades. The initial deposit was $150,000 and the fund was established for economic development and business promotion activities in the Marietta area. These funds are now busy at work helping businesses get back on their feet by contributing to payroll costs, utilities, product losses, incurred expenses or rent and mortgage payments. Fifty-thousand dollars were distributed to almost 30 local businesses. The following MACC member businesses are proud recipients of this grant: A Unique Flower & Gift Shop Air Quality Solutions Heating & Cooling All Pro Nutrition American Flags & Poles Betsey Mills Corporation Boley Enterprises DaVinci's Italian Restaurant Ely Chapman Education Foundation Event Designs Green Acres of Marietta Ketel1 TeamWear Marietta Family YMCA Marietta Occupational Health Partners Mid-Ohio Valley Employment (MOVE) O'Briens Confined Space Rescue Services O'Briens Safety Services Parkview House Peace Love Scissors Perry and Associates CPAs, A.C.
