PCI and Experic announce collaboration PHILADELPHIA, PA—PCI Phar- ma Services and Experic, a contract manufacturer headquartered in Cran- bury, NJ, have agreed to collaborate on clinical and commercial manufac- turing, packaging, and supply chain services. Per the agreement, Experic will have access to PCI's clinical and commercial supply chain capabilities, and in turn, PCI will have access to Experic's advanced powder-filling equipment and capabilities, including low-dose filling for inhalation and other delivery modalities. Catalent acquires Japanese clinical packaging facility S O M E R S E T , N J — C a t a l e n t has acquired a clinical packaging facility in Minakuchi, Japan, from T e v a - T a k e d a P h a r m a c e u t i c a l s , establishing a new clinical GMP manufacturing and distribution hub that will support clinical studies. Hartman has been an ISPE member since 2001 and has been active in the associa- tion as a member and then vice chair of the board of directors and by serving on several committees. Prior to this appointment, he was senior vice president of new products and business development at Key Technology. Jean-Luc Herbeaux has joined Hovione, Loures, Portugal, as chief operating officer.
