Event Recap: BICSI President Provides Association Update In a webinar conducted 22 July, BICSI President Todd W. Taylor, RCDD, NTS, OSP, addressed BICSI stakeholders on "BICSI's Future in the Connected World." Joined by BICSI Executive Director & CEO John H. Daniels, CNM, FACHE, FHIMSS, the two provided an overview of the BICSI Board Strategic Plan, as well as updates on BICSI's bylaws, volunteer engagement, upcoming events, and BICSI's response to COVID-19. To the right are a few of the key takeaways: EVENTS Page 21 • The FY21 Board Strategic Plan and Objectives include industry collaboration, recognizing BICSI as a global leader, public policy engagement, and increasing member value. • A BICSI Bylaws Review Task Force was formed to go through the entire BICSI Bylaws. Proposed changes were ratified by the Board and will be voted on by the membership 1-30 September 2020. • The BICSI Volunteer Committee structure has been reorganized to strengthen staff and volunteer collaboration. • We are One BICSI, serving every country and every member. As we strengthen ourselves as One BICSI, we will continue to improve our coordination, standardization, and resource stewardship. • BICSI has worked extremely hard to offer new and updated programs that allow people to continue their ICT learning from home. Some of these programs include virtual and hybrid conferences, webinars, virtual instructor-led training workshops, virtual classroom training, virtual ICT Forums, and remote exam proctoring. • The 2020 Fall Conference on 27 September – 1 October has transitioned to a 100% virtual conference.
