BICSI Japan held its first virtual seminar on 17 July 2020.

majority signed up as BICSI members by the end. The
virtual seminar was hosted by Fluke Networks and featured
a presentation by Fluke trainer, Eiji Takahashi, describing
the JISX-5151 standard as it relates to fiber cabling system
measurements and testing.
Additional virtual seminars are being planned. Watch your

What was originally scheduled as an in-person seminar in
Casablanca, Morocco, transitioned into a successful
webinar, held 25 June 2020. Organized by Legrand, the
webinar addressed the topic of data centers. Mainland
Europe District Chair Gautier Humbert, RCDD, presented
ANSI/BICSI 002-2019, Data Center Design and Implementa-
tion Best Practices, its position in the ICT standards environ-
ment, and basic architectures to comply with defined
classes. Nearly 100 attendees participated.
Earlier this month, BICSI Japan hosted a webinar titled,
"Basics of Network Technology." Presenter, Yasuhisa Wada,
RCDD, of the Wada Technical Office, provided the latest
information on wiring systems essential for building
a network system. This webinar was transitioned from
a previously held six-hour seminar and reduced to two hours
with a focus on essential knowledge. Nearly 60 people
tuned in to the webinar. Attendees looking for basic knowl-
edge on network design found it especially beneficial.
