on the map Our students come from near and far The University of Illinois College of Medicine is the largest school of medicine in the nation and spans four different campuses — Chicago, Peoria, Rockford and Urbana Champaign. The recent match information (on page 12) shows that College of Medicine physicians are making positive impressions in medical centers across the country. The college's student population for 2012-2013 comes from a variety of different backgrounds, which enhances their time spent on campus interacting with fellow students. Below is a map of the nation, which shows that while many students come from Illinois, many others hail from across the country, and a handful come from overseas.
