Certificate & Degree Programs 2020-2021 Program Notes: Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses required within the program. Only required courses taken within eight (8) years of completion of the program may be applied towards this certificate. Consult with your faculty mentor or academic advisor. This program replaces: CCL/5218 Advanced Computer Usage and Applications Program Prerequisites: None COMPUTER - MICROSOFT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION IN MICROSOFT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION (18-21 CREDITS; CODE 5031) To qualify, students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program. Division: Business and Information Technologies Program Director: Wyatt Johnson The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Microsoft System Administration program is designed to provide students with background knowledge and skills required for learning the specific tasks and industry recognized standards associated with computer networks and data communications. The program includes a core of Microsoft courses to develop professionals who implement, manage, and troubleshoot existing network and system environments based on current Microsoft operating systems including active directory, messaging services, file and print servers, and firewalls. The courses in the program are also designed to help prepare students for the Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) - Windows Server 2016 certification exams. Students who complete this program may seek employment in a variety of environments. Students can also pursue additional Certificates of Completion (CCL) in a variety of specializations within the information technology field to deepen their knowledge and skills and to help prepare them for multiple industry certification examinations. An Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Network and Systems Administration is also available. Program Notes: Students must earn a grade of C or better for all courses required within the program. All courses within the Required areas are not applicable if taken more than five (5) years prior to the completion of the program. Consult with an academic advisor or program director for exceptions.
