Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the EMT national certification examination and the Arizona certification examination for Hazardous Materials First Responder Operation which meets the requirements of the Arizona Center for Fire Service Excellence. The program provides an introduction to the fire service, wellness and fitness, emergency medical care, and hazardous materials. Courses included in this program apply to an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) and a Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Fire Science offered by Glendale Community College, Mesa Community College, Phoenix College, and Paradise Valley Community College. Program Notes: This program is not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid. Students must successfully complete 10 simulated clinical scenarios, the final cognitive exam, and the NREMT Psychomotor Skills Exam in order to complete the program. 180
