Certificate & Degree Programs 2020-2021 FIELD OF INTEREST: VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS CREDIT HOUR PROGRAMS are both theoretical and application in nature. Degrees take approximately two years to complete (based on full-time status); while certificates take less than two years to complete. Associate in Arts, Fine Arts Degree (AAFA) provides the first two years of a four-year curriculum for students who wish to specialize in fine arts. The degree offers an emphasis in creative problem- solving that is required in most career fields. Note: it is strongly recommended that students meet with an academic advisor to determine the correct coursework to take based on intended major and transfer institution of choice.
