SiG MT 37 SiG MT 29 James' initial sketches became more detailed that night back at the lodge, where he and the ompsons rolled out art paper and developed a floorplan that framed the stunning views. "ose sketches became 90 percent of the finished home design," James says. Essentially every design decision was made with the land in mind. "I sought to integrate the living paerns sought by my clients with the timeless spiritual qualities of the Big Sky landscape… to bring the peace of the outdoors indoors, by creating a space of tranquility rooted in the ground," James explains. "A home, like a three-dimensional painting, should bring inspiration to all who reside in it, while symbiotically working with the landscape." He intricately incorporated natural light into nearly every space – from the floor-to-ceiling windows, to the daylight basement. Bighorn sheep adorn the lighting fixture in the game room. Cozy up in the wine-tasting room. Enjoy a next-level cookout in the outdoor kitchen.
