JAPAN BICSI Japan held its Annual Business Meeting remotely this year due to social distancing guidelines. Lead by Japan District Chair Katsuji Furuichi, RCDD, the 17 September virtual event generated many questions by the 28 attendees, showing an increased interest in BICSI. Katsuji reviewed 2019 and 2020 BICSI events and gave a treasury report. BICSI Japan Board Meetings have increased from once a month to twice a month due to the increased planning for the upcoming BICSI Virtual Japan Conference and the additional webinars being hosted by the Japan District. The increased frequency of meetings is building a stronger relationship between the Board, volunteers, and members. A reminder that the 2020 BICSI Japan Conference & Exhibition will be fully virtual. It will be held on 25-26 November and will feature multiple ICT presentations, as well as a virtual Exhibit Hall. Topics planned include Countermeasures for COVID019 in Data Centers, Single-Pair Ethernet, and Airport Facilities.
