22 Covetrus | 855.724.3461 | northamerica.covetrus.com West Oaks Animal Hospital, LLC Customer Spotlight When did your practice become a Covetrus customer? I can't remember the exact date, but about a year. What do you find most beneficial about your practice's partnership with Covetrus? Our representative, Caroline Davis! The honesty and ability to be able to bounce ideas around. To be able to get and receive feed back about the rest of the veterinary world. We may be partial, but we think our customers are pretty great! This year we want to highlight some of our customers for their positive impact on the animal health industry. This month we are highlighting West Oaks Animal Hospital, LLC, Fayetteville, AR. Kate Brewer, Office Manager What do you like about working in the veterinary industry? Besides the obvious reason we all go into this field, I enjoy what each day brings. You just never know who or what you are going to see. What makes your practice unique? I would like to think what makes our practice unique is our consistency. We practice medicine consistently, we treat clients and our staff with consistency. I would also like to think we are more of a "small-family" type of clinic. And hopefully that is related to our clients and staff. What do you do to give back to your community? We participate in low- cost spay/neuter programs. We offer veterinary care to our local shelter. We love to participate in local fundraising events for the Humane Society and shelter. What is the most challenging thing about your job? Being consistent! Ha! Get it! Unfortunately, for me, as a manager and caring for the staff as I do actually can become one of the hardest part about my job. We are a business first. What is the most rewarding part of your job? Getting to be on the journey with the client and fur baby from start to finish. In 20 years, I have seen puppies and kittens on their first visit and right up until their final day. I have been able to witness animals that were well to sick to well again. For anyone just entering the veterinary profession, what advice would you give them? Don't let the reviews get to you! If the review is true, own it! Or live by my motto "I ain't scared of reviews!" Seriously, treat the clients how you would want to be treated, be consistent in every case, every day and do what you believe and feel is right. What are you most excited for in 2021? Can I say....hopefully no more curbside and masks! Celebrating our 30 years of business! And continuing our relationships with our clients.
