Jan Gilbert owns a skincare and full-body
waxing business in Guntersville – Janz Salon
& Spa.
She's looking forward to the country getting
healthy again. After closing her business for
several weeks during 2020 due to COVID-19
restrictions, she hopes that it never comes to
that again. She really missed her clients.
Q: How long have you operated your business
in Guntersville?
A: I moved to Guntersville in 2002 from Marion
County, here in Alabama. My first business was
called Natural Body by Jan. I sold that business
and opened Janz Salon & Spa in 2008.
Q: What are you most looking forward to this year?
A: One of my daughters is moving to Atlanta from Iowa, and I'm looking forward
to spending time with her.
Q: What would people be surprised to know about you?
A: Surprised? I'm really just a very easy person to get to know. No real surprises
here. People shouldn't be afraid or intimidated to come see me. Waxing is not that
bad at all!
People should know that I love what I do and I love people.
