24 Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce www.greatfallschamber.org What type of businesses are Clark & Lewie's, O'Haire Motor Inn, and Sip 'n Dip? It all began with the O'Haire Manor Motor Inn in 1962. Sandra Thares' (owner) stepdad, along with some business partners, bought it in 1968 and the name was changed to O'Haire Motor Inn. It's a full-service hotel. The lounge was originally the O'Haire Manor Lounge until it was renamed the Sip 'n Dip during a contest in 1966. The tiki lounge look was put up in 1967. It's still the same tiki look with additions over the years. The mermaids started to appear in 1996. The restaurant space was leased out over the years. In 2002, we decided to run it ourselves and opened it as Clark & Lewie's as a nod to the notorious travelers through our area. It's a full-service restaurant serving Inn customers and locals alike. In non-COVID-19 times, we also do a large amount of catering. What are the company values? As my dad always said, "Follow the Cowboy Code in all business doings: be honest, don't charge more than you need to, and be thankful for those who do business with you." How long has your business been in Great Falls? It was established in 1962. My stepdad bought it with business partners in 1968. He and I took it over as a family business in 1992.
