one is looking. Ethics are so important to us, as well as problem solving skills. We can train on how to carefully help people buy and sell real estate, but I cannot train good ethics and honesty. Those have to be fundamental values an individual possesses if they want to join our team. Goals? Our goals are 100% do the right thing and all else follows. What is unique about your business? We have a very open team concept and open office concept, not having standard boxed-off offices. We have a collaborative team culture where we have a strong synergy that provides motivation to each one of us and we visit and work together. Even though we are independent agents, we work as a team and support one another. I would say that our teamwork concept is what makes us unique. This industry can be very cut throat or competitive. We are direct with one another and help each other as a resource. We also work hard to create teams and strong connections in the community with other industry professionals. This bond is passed on to the benefit of the buyers and sellers and creates more seamless transactions. What has been your biggest success? Growing this brokerage to this size and with such amazing people on our team. What has been your biggest challenge? It is important to me that I am providing a lot of training and instruction to my agents. I would say I watch my span of control very closely to ensure that our agents are being supported as much as possible. I don't see this as a challenge, but it is part of maintaining a healthy business environment. I work very hard to bring current issues to the forefront every week to continue to educate our agents and keep them on the cutting edge of changes. What are your plans for 2021 or in the future to grow and develop your business? For 2021, I hope to continue to grow in a positive direction and want to watch our agents develop successful careers. If we take care of those on our team, the rest grows naturally. Anything else you would like to share or let people know about your business? My husband Peter is my biggest supporter and fan. He has been a big cheerleader and instrumental in urging me to move forward. What have you done to overcome the challenge(s) of 2020? Have you been able to turn any of it into opportunities? Real estate was affected differently than a lot of other industries. Instead of tapering off, it went into high gear. People are moving from more populated areas to Montana and capturing that business and servicing those buyers and sellers has been a great opportunity. The biggest thing we did was follow the suggested COVID-19 rules and protection policies. How has it changed your way of doing business? There was always a certain amount of "remote" business or "sight unseen" business being conducted, but I would say that COVID-19 has escalated this need. We are utilizing a lot of virtual technology to show homes and sell homes. I believe that buyers and sellers have become more comfortable with this concept.
