The AGG Laboratories facili- ty will provide customers and partners with a research, development, testing, and training environment dedicated to the collaborative exploration of all aspects of oral solid dosage manufac- turing. The company's comprehen- sive solid form services include form and salt/cocrystal screening, solid state characterization, chemical composi- tion, solubility and dissolution, and powder properties. Catalent partners with Cybin on antipsycotic ODT SOMERSET, NJ—Catalent has signed an agreement with Canadian biotech company Cybin to apply Catalent's Zydis orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) technology to deliver Cybin's novel deuterated tryptamine, a potential therapy for treatment- resistant psychiatric disorders. Zydis creates a freeze-dried tablet that rap- idly dissolves in the mouth without water, which would allow pre-gastric delivery of deuterated tryptamine and prevent first pass metabolism, improving the drug's pharmacoki- netic profile. The project commenced in April and will involve feasibility studies of ODT doses with varying quantities of deuterated tryptamine along with other excipients.
