79 f you're looking to take a walk on the wild side this Western Art Week, head over to the Hampton Inn to see what the Wild Bunch Art Show's eclectic crew of crafty creators has been preparing for its visitors! Show founder and longtime artist A. Nadine Pickthorn spent nearly 30 years as an exhibiting artist at the CM Russell Art Auction before she launched the Wild Bunch collaboration 13 years ago. "I have chosen these people specifically in order to have the most variety you'll find in a small show," says Nadine, who also happens to be among her 13 contributing artists' biggest fans. "I mean – this is crazy stuff!" New to the show this year is Libba Lauchnor, a prolific artist who works with everything from charcoal to airbrushing to glass etching. "And she does some amazing splatter art," Nadine gushes. Nadine is excited to unveil her own newly-minted artform, which involves engraving antique glass and painting intricate birds and other wildlife on the scarred surfaces. "I have loved glass all my life and I just have a passion for it," she says. "I feel like painting on glass is what I've been preparing for my whole life." The close-knit Wild Bunch artists are looking forward to the Western Art Week festivities not only to meet up with show visitors, but also to reconnect with one another. "They're supporting of one another," Nadine says of the group. "Everyone is happy for each other and we work hard to make the show fun for those who come."
