"LIG takes something that is perceived as complicated and
makes it easy for the members to do," said McNichols. "From
being able to make sure doctors, hospitals and prescriptions
are covered to finding affordable plans that cover themselves
and their families."
Delivering for Members
Bob Ingersole, owner of Ingersole Events and Tennis Management
in New York City, and a long-time USPTA member found the
healthcare insurance offerings much to his liking.
"As an independent contractor, you are out there by
yourself, and you must make good decisions, especially when
it comes healthcare insurance," said Ingersole. Along with his
wife, Ingersole was searching for coverage after his wife was
furloughed from her job and lost their insurance.
Ingersole attended a webinar hosted by LIG for USPTA
members and came away impressed. After his first conver-
sation with an LIG agent, Ingersole said it was pretty evident
that not only did the agent have a great depth of knowledge,
but genuine concern for his needs.
"They answered all my questions and explained the
options in great detail," said Ingersole. "They were helpful,
straightforward, and what they said made sense."
Flexibility and communication proved particularly im-
portant during the pandemic when many members lost
their jobs.
"Membership was hit hard when California, the
Northeast, and parts of the Midwest closed up," says
Dasch. "They needed short-term and long-term solutions
to weather the difficult times, and LIG reacted to their
health coverage needs."
In the end, simplicity, turnkey implementation and
management, and personalized service have led to
successful and growing healthcare insurance offerings
for USPTA members through its partnership with LIG.

"Our members trust LIG and USPTA – that
the best options are being offered."
"LIG provided great marketing
support, including a program-
specific web page, social media
and email content, customized
videos, conference and trade
show material, and educational
webinars. They made the process
very streamlined, which is good
for associations that are already
stretched thin on staffing."
