110 INDUSTRIAL DESIGN TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE IN APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE IN INDUSTRIAL DESIGN TECHNOLOGY (60-66 CREDITS; CODE 3204) To qualify, students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program. Division: Industrial Technology Program Director: David Zamora The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Industrial Design Technology program prepares students for careers in the field of Industrial Design. This expertise will allow employment in a variety of high- tech product development and medical device, consumer product, aerospace, and automotive manufacturing companies. The program includes courses designed to provide students with a working knowledge in the field of product design, product development and rapid part production. Competency and technical expertise will be learned on industry specific three-dimensional (3D) Solid Design software and 3D printers. The core specialty of the program is hands-on experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD), and 3D printing. A Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Industrial Design Technology: Design Specialist is also available. Program Notes: Students must earn a grade of C or better for all courses required within the program. This program replaces: AAS/3116 Industrial Design Technology Program Prerequisites: None PRODUCTION - CNC MACHINE OPERATOR (NIGHT) CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY IN CNC MACHINE OPERATOR (150 CLOCK HOURS: CODE 1113N) Division: Trades & Technology Program Director: R. Mark Woehl The Certificate of Competency (CCT) in CNC Machine Operator prepares students for employment as entry-level operators and technicians in the manufacturing industry. The program provides applied skills in the operation of manual/computer numeric control (CNC) machines for current and future needs of the manufacturing industry. Certificates of completion in Machining I and Machining II and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Manufacturing and Production Technology are also available. Program Notes: This program is not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid. Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program. Program Prerequisites: None PRODUCTION - CNC MACHINING I (DAY) CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY IN CNC MACHINING I (758 CLOCK HOURS; CODE 1101) Division: Trades & Technology Program Director: R. Mark Woehl The Level I Certificate of Competency (CCT) in Machining I prepares students for employment as entry-level operators and technicians in the manufacturing industry. The program provides applied skills in process planning, quality control, setup and operation of manual/computer numeric control (CNC) machines for current and future needs of the manufacturing industry. This program introduces students to manual data programming and CAD/CAM. A CCT in Machining II and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Manufacturing and Production Technology are also available.
