117 maintenance of hand tools and all power equipment used in the meat cutting industry, including a variety of knives, meat saws, meat grinders, meat tenderizers and meat slicers. Identify, cut, wrap, weigh and display all retail cuts of meat for sale in a retail environment. Maintain and merchandise a retail meat case and manage inventory. Gain experience filling customer orders. Break down and process a variety of meats like elk, deer, antelope and javelina, whole cattle, hogs and lamb. Perform tasks while maintaining industry safety and sanitation standards. Program Notes: Food Handlers Card is completed in class and required before working in the lab. Admission Criteria: Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in cold/f reezing temperatures. Program Prerequisite: None BANKING AND FINANCE ASSOCIATE IN APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE IN BANKING AND FINANCE (61-66 CREDITS; CODE 3091) To qualify, students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program. Division: Business and Information Technologies Program Director: Annette Torrey-Banks The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Banking and Finance program has been developed in cooperation with the Central Arizona Chapter of the American Institute of Banking and the Institute of Financial Education for entry or advancement in the banking profession. The program is designed to prepare students for the many challenges of the world of finance, since the role of the modern banker today demands specialized knowledge, flexible job performance, communication skills and customer service. A Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Banking and Finance is available. Program Notes: Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses required within the program. Program Prerequisites: None BANKING AND FINANCE CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION IN BANKING AND FINANCE (27 CREDITS; CODE 5627) To qualify, students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program.
