Logan, who originally hails from Browning and grew up in the foster care system, educated himself by soaking up information on YouTube videos and cuing hair for people he knew. And he was good. Really good. As his confidence grew, so did his drive to do more to help not only himself but to give back to his community. With his self-taught knowledge in his back pocket, he put himself through barber school and eventually opened his shop in November 2020. His perseverance also inspired others to follow his lead. Two of the three skilled barbers working beside him at Double Take Barber Shop in downtown Great Falls became interested in the field aer watching Logan's success. "ere are a lot of salons today, but the tradition of a barbershop kind of fell by the wayside," Logan says. "Basically, we are an ethnic barbershop." Double Take Barber Shop has a cool, downtown Chicago-like vibe where people with all hair textures can walk out with a top-notch look. "About 90 percent of our clients are from other states," Logan says. "It is a home away from home for people." Logan and his team offer beard trims, specialty haircuts with designs, fades, hot towel shaves, eyebrow care, basic buzz cuts, head shaves, and kids' cuts. "We do lineups on all of our specialty cuts," he adds. "We don't cut any corners." Logan especially loves the reactions he gets from new clients when they see their fresh styles for the first time. "When you're done, those guys can't even stay out of the mirror," he laughs. "'Hold on – do I really look that good?' they say. I want them to get that type of aention when they leave the shop." "Making people feel good about themselves is the best feeling," Logan adds. "It is kind of like magic. When a man gets a great haircut, nothing can stop him that day!" Logan and his team are also focused on giving back. In August, they went to Browning and gave free back-to-school haircuts to 90 kids. "My goal is to help kids as much as possible, especially kids who don't have the resources," he says. "It might make all the difference."
