5 Q4 2021 | Animal Health Solutions Dear Valued Customer: As 2021 draws to a close, at Covetrus we reflect on the past year and look forward to what lies ahead. To be sure, 2021 continued to be both an encouraging and challenging time for our industry. While the demand for veterinary care and services has never been higher, the prolonged pandemic further disrupted many aspects of doing business and caring for patients. In one sense, the "new normal" of talent shortages, operating friction, curbside check-ins and telemedicine have become just that: normal. There is also the pressure that your practices are under from heightened safety protocols, demanding clients, or e-tailer competition in the marketplace. More than ever, it's our mission to help you reduce the challenges (and fatigue) and obstacles you face on a daily basis. If anything, COVID has allowed us to distill our priorities as a company and as your partner. Over the past year, we have accelerated many of our goals and introduced new tools and services to better serve your needs and those of your clients. Among our highest priorities is optimizing the Covetrus technology suite of solutions to improve in-clinic operating efficiency and help you provide a better customer experience. For example, this year we added key integrations to our practice management software products that let you interact directly with our prescription management pharmacy solution. We've also streamlined and expanded our compounding offering, with in-app tools to easily order and reorder custom medications for patients. A few months ago, Covetrus welcomed VCP to our family of solutions. VCP's cutting-edge platform enables veterinarians and their clients to easily create personalized pet care plans. We're excited about the potential of pet care plans to enable your clients to more deeply engage with you for their pet's health, achieve improved long-term medical outcomes, and grow your practice. For 2022, we will be even more focused on helping empower your practice to integrate operations and offer holistic care. Our task is to continue bringing all our solutions into perfect alignment—to present a singular, seamless, end- to-end experience for your business. Look out for important software enhancements and integrations, additions to our cost-efficient Covetrus Brand product line, new continuing-education content, and so much more.
