Redstone Federal Credit Union's first members were soldiers and government workers on Redstone Arsenal. Seven decades later, Redstone continues to take seriously its service to veterans, active service personnel, and federal government workers. Fortunately, there are some wonderful non-profits operating in North Alabama and Middle Tennessee that work to address many of the needs that our veterans face. Redstone has partnered with them to sponsor programs, provide volunteers, and support events that honor veterans. "Giving back to our community and supporting our community is very important to us at Redstone Federal Credit Union," said Mary Grace Evans, Assistant Vice President, Community Relations. "Knowing that many of our members are veterans is another reason we are proud to support the organizations who in turn support our veterans." Here are a few of those organizations: Clayton E. Moneymaker American Legion Post 237 This organization supports Backpacks for Vets, which fills backpacks with needed items for local and area homeless veterans. CommuniServe in Murfreesboro/ Rutherford County CommuniServe helps pay for senior care services for veterans and seniors in the community who would otherwise not be able to afford the services.
