Wildlife corridors, expanding National Monuments, creating buffalo preserves, National Heritage Areas, and numerous other tools are used to create a federal web across the States in the name of conservation. Local environmental organizations are empowered to sell the idea to the public, providing the locally-driven narrative. It is important to note that those pushing this agenda are not the people who own the land. e question for Montanan's is, who knows beer how to manage Montana's land: the Biden Administration or Montana citizens? e Counties of Fergus, Pondera, Richland, and Valley, as well as the Missouri River Basin Cooperative Grazing District, have answered that question and passed resolutions opposing 30 x 30. More should follow suit, and the State legislature and State Government should also consider taking stronger action to keep Montana's lands in Montanan's hands. Another good question to ask is why would Montanan's trust the same Administration that has abandoned their federal responsibility at our Southern Border and the entire country of Afghanistan to now control 30 percent of our land? Regardless of what name they give this agenda, it is not about conservation, protection, or restoration. It is simply about who is going to control, and thereby, own America – the people or government. Protectecting 30 percent of the U.S. by 2030 would require 440 million more acres to be set aside. 500 mi 500 km SQUARES SHOWN AT SAME SCALE AS CONTIGUOUS U.S. RILEY C.
