"Every spring and fall, I try to get into the classes," she continues,
noting that the college welding shop provides all the essentials. "Over
the last several months, however, I bought my own welder and am slowly
turning my garage into a welding shop. I now have parts, materials, fire
retardant shields. It takes up a lot of room. I would like to have a whole
lot more space. I'm looking for a space, but it's prey hard to come by
these days."
Turnbow never considered herself particularly artistic. She went
to college for Psychology and served for years as a tax professional.
"Numbers were my second love," she notes. Now a Great Falls resident,
Turnbow serves as account manager for the Malmstrom Air Force Base
chapel. "I love my job and the people I work with. And it's part-time, so
I have time for my hobby."
e hobby allows her to carry on a family tradition. "I lost my dad four
years ago, and I would love to know what he thinks," she says. "I think
he'd be thrilled."
