14 • portfolio cm russell museum A unique perspective on the show comes from C.M. Russell Museum Board member Lisa Buers who is also an artist invited to participate in the sale. "Although I am also a Director, I don't take for granted the significance of being invited into this show. For upcoming artists, such as myself, it is such a milestone. One that validates and challenges our abilities! It is a powerful and affirming experience to be recognized by peers and those who appreciate and collect Western art. I am also thrilled to know that the sale of my artwork will help support the museum and its initiatives, and I look forward to celebrating the success of all artists who have stepped forward to show - and to generously share - their love for the museum through the sale of their work." e proceeds from each sale are split equally between the artist and the museum, and bidding at the event will be exciting!
