Masters in Miniature took place each September, aracting artists and buyers to enjoy an evening of entertainment and sale of the artwork. To recapture the energy and enthusiasm that surrounded that event, as well as popular demand, the C.M. Russell Museum is introducing a new event to Western Art Week in 2022 – Charlie's Miniature Roundup on Friday, March 18. "Reinstating the C.M. Russell Museum's miniature sale has been a goal for many years. It is the perfect venue to encourage new collectors, showcase artists that may be new to museum patrons, and offer a conduit for future participation in our signature fundraiser, e Russell. ese elements combine for a dynamite art experience where you can engage online or in person. ese minis are true artistic gems." said Christina Blackwell, C.M. Russell Museum Board Member and Chair of e Russell 2022. Although the roots of the Roundup are connected to Masters in Miniature, the sale concept is all new. Joining 14 members of the Russell Skull Society of Artists are 54 artists who have not participated in e Russell auction in the last ten years and were invited by members of the Russell Skull Society and the C.M. Russell Museum Board of Directors. Each artist was invited to submit a new piece of art no larger than 144 square inches to be included in the sale. C.M.
