DUSA interface plate for nasal sprays
Simplifying the measurement of delivered dose uni-
formity for nasal sprays in accordance with the
recently revised specifications in the European Phar-
macopoeia (Ph. Eur.) Chapter 0676 and USP Chapter
<601>, the nasal Dose Uniformity Sampling Appara-
tus (DUSA) Interface Plate enables a simple, leak-free
connection between a standard DUSA and the nasal
drug product to ensure complete dose capture. Learn

Early pre-clinical research
instruments and services
Inhalation Sciences offers early preclinical research
instruments and services. e signature of the Preci-
seInhale
®
platform is precision dosing with minimal
substance consumption (< 100 mg). Using the same
aerosol dispensing system, translational errors can
be minimized when comparing data from: in vitro
dissolution and absorption; in vivo nose-only or
intratracheal exposures; and ex vivo isolated per-
fused lung (IPL). Identify the most promising drug
candidates early. Save costs, required animals and
development time.

An aerosol optical tweezers
e Biral AOT-100 (Aerosol Optical Tweezers)
enables non-specialists, such as laboratory scientists,
students and technical staff, to explore the phys-
ical and chemical behavior of individual micron-
sized droplets with extraordinary precision. Initially,
the instrument was predominantly used as a reli-
able research tool to further the understanding of
atmospheric and environmental aerosol. However,
advances enable the AOT-100 to be applied to phar-
maceutical research. is research looks to resolve the
microphysical changes affecting pharmaceutical drop-
lets as they enter the humid environment of the lung,
with the aim of improving the delivery and efficacy of
inhalation therapy products.
