Make it a family night… Grab a blanket and some snacks and enjoy a "night out" at the movies. MOVIE: Homeward Bound The Incredible Journey Three pets—a wise old dog named Shadow, an excitable young dog named Chance, and a snobby feline named Sassy—escape from a California ranch and embark on a dangerous quest to fi nd their owners. The pets must work together to survive the elements and fi nd their way home. MOVIES START AT DUSK Yappy Hour Friday, July 8 Grab your dog and come on over to Prairie View Park for Friday night Yappy Hour. Staff will be putting out an agility course for your dogs to play on or just stop by and chat with other dog owners. Dogs must be leashed during the event. Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. YAPPY HOUR 4:30 - 6:30 PM Summer Concert Series We are kicking off the summer season with the concert series. Concerts are held on Tuesdays. Food service begins at 6:00 pm. Bring your lawn chair and blankets and enjoy an evening of live music summer fun for the entire family. Food and drink are available for purchase. Tuesday, July 12 Grupo Cha Cha The "Lovely Ladies of Latin Jazz" Grupo Cha Cha fi lls the air with tropical sounds of Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Brazil that delights the ears and gets you up to dance! Audiences always respond with enthusiasm to their live shows. Grupo Cha Cha CD's can be heard on NPR and CBC stations. CONCERT BEGINS AT 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 19 Cadillac Groove There are sweet, good, and great grooves – then there's the CADILLAC GROOVE. Jump into the purple Caddy for a fun ride through Southern Rock, Blues, R&B, Soul, and points in between. You'll fi nd yourself singing along as Cadillac Groove puts its unique, high-energy touch on the songs you know and love. CONCERT BEGINS AT 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 26 Wild Daisy Wild Daisy is THE most energetic, dynamic female-fronted country band in the Chicagoland area. The band plays current, upbeat country, with pop/rock thrown in. Wild Daisy has a reputation for delivering high-quality, family-friendly, crowd interactive, entertaining shows. Among their long list of past gigs, they opened for a country icon, Mark Chesnutt, and pre/post shows for Brad Paisley. CONCERT BEGINS AT 7:00 PM Car Show Thursday, July 14 The event will feature display cars, outdoor music, food, refreshments and local vendors. Stop by and check out all the cars. ATTENTION Car Show Enthusiasts: Shine up your vintage or contemporary car, truck, hot rod, or motorcycle because it is time to show them off at Annual Classic Car Show held at Harrer Park. Sign up now for the Morton Grove Park District's annual car show. CODE: 360120-01 FREE REGISTRATION DEADLINE JULY 7 Vehicles can arrive anytime between 4:00- 5:00 pm, and the event will open to the public at 5:30 pm. EVENT BEGINS AT 5:30 PM 2022 MORTON GROVE PARK DISTRICT Classic and 4th Annual Unplug Illinois Day Saturday, July 9 Unplug Illinois is a campaign created by the Illinois Park and Recreation Association that encourages people to unplug from their electronic devices and plug into play, creativity, friendship, adventure and family. PLUG INTO FAMILY FAMILY WALK 9:30 am at Harrer Park Meet at north end of park by school Join us for a walk around the park. PLAY TIME AT THE PARK 10:00-11:30 am at Harrer Park Shelter Join us for some fun at the park! Our staff will lead activities and games for you and your family to enjoy. CHALK THE DECK! 12:00-3:00 pm at Harrer Pool or Oriole Aquatic Center Head out to the pool and decorate the pool deck with chalk! Chalk will be provided only while supplies last.
