We thank you for the support and encouragement towards journalistic integrity. I S MT Summertime in central Montana is always a cherished season. Yet, with the past two years of global psychosis, recent fuel spikes, food shortages, and stratospheric housing costs, the idea of dipping your toes into the warmth of summer isn't as appealing as it once was. is season should resonate with a promise of freedom, an escape from the daily grind, but with change headed toward us at warp speed, it's hard to recall why we love summer so much. At Signature MT, we believe it's time for a summer breather. How you define "breather" is entirely up to you. Whether it's a day-hike, an out-of-town adventure, or a mental hiatus on the lake, we have some ideas to help launch your reprieve into action. In this issue, we visit places that capture the grandeur of central Montana and remind us why we love it here. If you have never been to the very top of Montana, come along for the climb as mountain climbing expert Sco Sery takes us 12,808 feet above sea level to Granite Peak, one of the most challenging summits of the lower 48 states. Not only did she breathe life back into a shell of a historic landmark, but she exuded unpretentious grace, elegance, and unparalleled sophistication that became the heart of the Grand Union. ank you for investing in and elevating a beautiful community. We will miss your presence, exquisite taste, and love for Fort Benton's history, but most of all, your friendship. May God continue to bless you and your family in this next chapter of life.
