White beer, Witbier, Biere Blanche: All three simply mean white from its pale color. It includes at least 50 percent unmalted wheat, with barley and oats filling out the remaining percentage of grain. It's traditionally flavored with orange peel and coriander, and since it hovers around five percent ABV, you don't have to feel guilty about downing multiple boles. Helles Bock: e perfect transition beer. Its subtle alcohol strength (6.3 to 7.4 ABV) and copper to amber color make it a good bridge between winter warmers and easy drinking summer beer. Nothing welcomes the warmer seasons beer than a well-stocked beer fridge. Now, who's up for a cold one? Cheers! BEER MAN S MT SIGNATURE MONTANA | 15 Gose: Pronounced "go-suh." is style is 1000 years old and named aer the river Gose and the town of Goslar where it was originally brewed. While salt is now added to the beer to imitate the original style, the salty character stems from the natural saltiness of the Goslar's mineral-rich aquifers. It is made from malted barley and malted wheat and is fermented with lactobacillus bacteria, which gives the style its burst of sourness. Shandy: A beer cocktail typically made with equal parts of beer and citrusy lemon or lime soda. It's light and refreshing with low ABV and is my favorite go-to lawnmower beer. Blonde Ale: Light and refreshing with mild flavors of spices and fruits. e ABV ranges from 3.7 to 7 percent and is usually deep gold. It balances on the malty side with a bit of bierness that levels out the sweet. Pale Ale: Very refreshing but packs a lile more tooth than summer ales or light lagers. It's usually golden to amber in color with an ABV that hovers in the 5 to 6 percent range.
