Food Consumers: Today's Specialty

Spend
SFCs' spending on food in a typical week is up overall in 2022, 22 percent for
groceries, 25 percent for restaurant food both onsite or for delivery, and 42 percent
for food purchased at supermarket restaurants, delis, prepared food cases, etc.
Some of this increase is the result of inflation but it also shows that SFCs returned
to restaurants and committed to freshly prepared food or deli takeaway in 2022.
