Brown Butter Apple Crumble (Serves 6) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Apples INGREDIENTS: In a large mixing bowl, stir together • 5 cups Honeycrisp apples, diced • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt • 2 teaspoons cinnamon • 1/4 cup flour • 1/4 cup brown sugar • 1 tablespoon vanilla • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Arrange in pie plate or 8-inch baking pan. Brown butter Heat ½ cup butter in small sauté pan over medium heat until it foams. Stir and continue cooking until butter begins to brown. Remove from heat and let cool. Brown Butter Crumble Topping INGREDIENTS: In a medium mixing bowl, combine • 3/4 cup rolled oats • 1/2 cup flour • 1/4 cup brown sugar • 1 teaspoon cinnamon • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt INSTRUCTIONS: Pour in cooled brown butter and stir with a fork to combine. Sprinkle crumble topping over apples and bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla bean ice cream. farm406 56
