History 15 not focused on changing policy. His solitary objective was to see all who are in authority delivered from the deadly bondage of sin and made alive through new life in Christ (Ephesians 2:1–5). Upon further study, Ralph discovered that this biblical command was also prominent in Old Testament Scriptures. To explain this biblical top-down missions strateg y, Ralph wrote the book, Rebuilding America: e Biblical Blueprint. is biblical top-down missions strateg y is our man- date, and it sets us apart from other religious organizations that lobby lawmakers for better laws. As Ralph oen says, "How can we expect lawmakers who are not mature in Christ to write laws according to His precepts?" Capitol Ministries is committed to securing souls in eternity through evangelizing the affinity sphere of po- litical leaders. First Timothy 2:2–4 promises the added, ensuing benefit of good governance, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. CapMin seeks to fulfill the Great Commission by reach- ing the hearts and minds of politicians and policy mak- ers with the gospel. We believe that anchoring a political leader's soul in Christ is the only real hope for our nation's future or for the future of any nation. As the late Dr. Earl Radmacher, former president of the Western Seminary, used to say, "Right actions begin with right thinking, and right thinking begins with thinking right about God." "Capitol Ministries offers a rare treat in today's fast- paced world—an hour a week of intimate fellowship with colleagues seeking to grow in faith. Our weekly Bible study dives deeply into Christ's lessons of humility and love and faith and reminds us that cabinet officers are public ser- vants, that we serve best when our decisions are grounded in eternal biblical truths, and that our service is, in truth, a conduit for the Lord's will. I leave Wednesday morning Bible study strengthened by a calming confidence that the Lord has set a path for each of us, and for me." Alexander Acosta Former U.S. Secretary of Labor … the Lord said …"Go … bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel." A c t s 9 :15
