Who instantly comes to mind when you think of someone who sees a need in the community and works to address it? Maybe this person works with a nonprofit or organizes other like-minded do-gooders to get the job done. Either way, the person is a Community Champion, and Redstone wants to meet that member and support their efforts! Nominate a Community Champion who shares their time, resources, and passion and let us honor them. is champion must be a Redstone member. Watch our website and social media sites to get your nominations in by January 31. Your nominee may become an inaugural Faces of Redstone 2023 Community Champion. Joe Newberry, Redstone's President and CEO, received a national award from the Association of the U.S. Army for selfless service and dedication to the Army and its soldiers. e John W. Dixon Award for outstanding contributions to national defense was awarded to Newberry in October, during the AUSA Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington, D.C. "is year's national award recipients represent the very best of AUSA," said Retired General Bob Brown, AUSA President and CEO. "rough their dedicated service and commitment, each of them has made a huge difference in the lives of others and in support of our Army and our nation." Newberry said he was honored to receive the award on behalf of the work Redstone Federal Credit Union has done and continues to do in support of the Armed Forces. He joins a long list of impressive recipients, including James Schenck, PenFed Credit Union; Eileen Drake, Aerojet Rocketdyne; Roger Krone, Leidos; and Dennis Muilenburg, e Boeing Company.
