With recognized expertise ranging from medical research, advocacy work, and personal experience as patients, board members perform a range of functions, such as suggesting authors and topics for coverage and providing the editor with general direction and feedback. As the holidays quickly approach and with the end of the year in sight, we are excited to be looking to the future with our publications and conference series. Cannabis Science Con- ference Spring is going full-steam ahead for the April 19- 21 st event in Portland, Oregon. For 2023, we are excited to be working with an excellent group of program chairs as well as esteemed members of our newly formed education- al steering committee. Cherissa Jackson, RN, Julie Kowalski, PhD, Zacariah Hildenbrand, PhD, and Denise Vidot, PhD, will be our 2023 program chairs for the medical cannabis, ana- lytical science, cultivation, and psychedelics tracks, respec- tively. We hope you can join us for this exciting conference! The medical track at the Cannabis Science Confer- ence ties in very well to the issues we curate for Canna- bis Patient Care—seeking patient stories, real-world med- ical professional advice and experiences, as well as the latest updates on research efforts in the US and world- wide. Our abstract submission portal is currently open for the Spring conference and we invite anyone interest- ed in sharing their stories and knowledge to submit an ab- stract for consideration at: https://www.cvent.com/c/ abstracts/67711eed-5754-4833-b32b-ff9ea6124816. We're also thrilled to announce that we've invited Steve Ellmore, who is featured on page 26 of this issue, to share his remarkable film Unprescribed at both of our 2023 confer- ences. The screening will take place during the daily sessions and all attendees are invited to join us for this moving docu- mentary followed by a panel discussion with Steve and sev- eral other veterans. Looking towards 2023, we plan to cover chronic pain, au- tism, COVID-19, and the opioid epidemic in the pages of Cannabis Patient Care. We hope you'll join us in sharing your experiences either in these pages or in person at the Cannabis Science Conference. Enjoy our November/December 2022 Cannabis Patient Care issue! Happy Holidays!
