HERE HAS BEEN a steady call within Congress to do
the right thing for veterans suffering mental health and
chronic pain issues as they cycle back into civilian life.
Most are dealing with a combination of things about
adjusting to life back at home after experiencing the horrors of
war in Afghanistan, Iraq, or another world hotspot where they
are deployed. When home, it's about adjusting to a new nor-
mal. That doesn't happen at the snap of a finger, especially as
they have to carry around with them the physical and emotion-
al damage that nearly every warfighter has to live with.
