THIRD PLACE / SPECIALTY KITCHEN
Coastal Outdoor Kitchen
This elegant outdoor kitchen is situated in an
upscale coastal community. The designer conceived
the layout of this luxurious space to be more open
and inviting, while taking in the panoramic views. This
large kitchen was designed to optimize storage,
create privacy and be a gathering place for the
client's family.
The designer oriented this space toward the view
while providing protection from the elements and
wind. A folding glass partition was installed by the
pool to control the winds coming through one of the
many seating areas. These seating areas were
designed as gathering and dining places near the
bar and terrace.
The beautiful weatherproof outdoor cabinets from
NatureKast were chosen for their natural wood look
and their ability to resist the elements. The focal point
of this kitchen is the impressive 54" Lynx Outdoor
grill and side burner framed by the elegant plaster
chimney hood. The Walker Zanger backsplash tile
adds a tailored look with a wood-look porcelain and
marble combination. The multiple serving counters
were covered with White Dune Quartzite, and the
flooring is a durable maintenance-free porcelain.
The pavilion is fitted with an Asko dishwasher, two
Subzero undercounter refrigerators, two beverage
centers, and an ice maker to boot. That way, there is
no need to go inside the house to prepare meals for
two or 20 people. To keep the exterior temperate
year-round, heaters were installed near the
voluminous v-groove paneled pavilion area along
with indirect and decorative lighting.
With such a beautiful outdoor area, you'll never
want to leave your home!
