Tiffany Blue Kitchen
The objective of this project was to transform a 30-year-old kitchen into a
brighter, more contemporary working triangle with excellent storage, an
island, luxury appliances, direct access to the patio, wall space for art,
better flow for entertaining and a newly created mudroom connecting to
the garage.
Expanding into the garage allowed us to create a mudroom without
sacrificing parking, with direct access to the guest suite and a dramatic
kitchen entrance from the newly created hallway with additional walls
for art.
Adding French doors provided natural light and accessibility to the patio.
The jewel of the kitchen is the Tiffany blue gas range and matching bell
hood as well as the nautically inspired faucets, all by Officine Gullo. Full-
height white cabinets brighten the space while crown molding and inset
details lend a classic aesthetic. The center island provides ease of access
for cooking, seating and entertainment, with new, stunning handblown
glass pendants above. All lighting is fully dimmable and operates on a smart
lighting control system.
