POOL CLOSING PROCEDURES
Air temperature: temperature of
64 degrees or below will result in
a pool closing.
● INCLEMENT WEATHER AROUND
POOL: If lightning is seen, thunder
is heard, tornado siren goes off , or
lifeguards cannot see the bottom
of the pool due to heavy rain, then
pools will close immediately.
Guests are asked to move quickly
and safely inside the locker-room
for 20 minutes. If inclement weather
stops after 20 minutes, guests will
be allowed to re-enter the pool.
If weather continues, guests will be
asked to wait an additional time.
● FECAL ACCIDENTS: When a fecal
indecent occurs, guests will be
asked to wait on the pool deck until
further notice. Solid fecal accident
waits time = 30 minutes Liquid
fecal accident wait time = Closed
until chlorine levels regulate (can
take up to 8 hours)
● LOW ATTENDANCE: Sections of
the pool may be closed due to low
attendance or a shortage of staff .
● MECHANICAL FAILURE: In the
case of a mechanical failure, pools
will be closed until further notice.
ADDITIONAL POOL CLOSING INFO
Lifeguards will be working a shift
schedule throughout the day. If a
pool closes during one of the shifts,
lifeguards will be prepared to re-open
for the next shift.

Looking for a fun way to make a big splash for your next birthday, anniversary, or other
special occasions? Book your next private event at Oriole Aquatic Center! Pool rentals
are available on a fi rst come fi rst serve basis. Reservation will only be available online,
and registration will open for residents on Monday, March 6. Non-Resident registration
opens on Monday, April 3. All rentals must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

Once your reservation request is received you will be contacted to confi rm your reservation.
Full payment is required to book the reservation. If you cancel your party within a 2-week period of the rental
