TEENY BALLET
Ages 4-5
Young dancers will begin to learn the
basics of ballet with an emphasis on
developing creativity and self-expression
in a fun, structured environment. Dance
vocabulary and music skills will be
explored through imaginative exercises.
Participants attend without parent and
must be potty-trained. Students participate
in the Summer Dance Showcase on
Wednesday, August 9 at Harrer Park
Shelter/Pavilion. Proper dance attire is
required.

Ages 4-6
Hip Hop won't stop! We know how little
ones love to move, groove, and shake.
Dancers will do just that in this energetic,
creative class. Each week, dancers will
learn the basics of being in a dance class,
introductory jazz and hip hop dance
vocabulary, movement and music games,
and dance to their favorite music. This
class participates in the Summer Dance
Showcase on Wednesday, August 9 at
Harrer Park Shelter/Pavilion.

This class covers jazz and tap with an
emphasis on correct technique and
terminology, dance class discipline,
and creative choices in a supportive
environment. Dancers will learn jazz and
tap rudiments, combinations, a little history,
and a lot of fun choreography in this high
energy class! Dancers participate in the
Dance Summer Showcase on

This class blends sharp movements with jazz and hip hop technique. Through high
energy movement, dancers will create visual eff ects with poms and have fun with

Hip Hop is a high-energy class that introduces students to fundamentals including
breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to develop their
musicality and artistry through grooves, across-the-fl oor exercises, and choreographic

Dancers at this age may be interested in trying many new styles! Dancers will receive
instruction for 30 minutes in each genre. Ballet will help dancers continue to build

LYRICAL Ages 9-11
Lyrical is an expressive dance technique that fuses many styles together, often
telling a story through choreography inspired by the song lyrics being used. Class will
consist of a full body warmup, learning leaps and turns, and performing choreography.
Dancers are encouraged to explore their emotions and artistry through creative
movement and improvisation.

Keep dancing in May! Starbound technique classes are for dancers who auditioned in
April and were placed in a company for 2023-2024. Class will help dancers continue
