She is best known for incorporating images of the working rural ranch, rodeo, and Indian Relay horses of her rural western American landscape with the urban- based graffiti she collects from trains passing through the remote Missouri River valley of her Montana home. Each of her "Wild Fillies (Make the Best Horses)" are embellished with a mash-up of graffiti and traditional symbols, on background patterns inspired by traditional and historic weaving. Vibrant, saturated palettes are chosen for their symbolic colors that represent wisdom, confidence, harmony, and healing. Don't miss Liz's fresh take on the overlapping edges of diverse cultures, celebrating the transformative power of youthful energy, trust in the process, and the playful joy found in the best of Life journeys. www.PearlSnapStudio.com pearlsnap.contemporary.equine Pearl Snap Studio, Liz Chappie-Zoller SHOW: The Great Western Show Montana ExpoPark: Booth #55 Ed and Friend Sonja Metzler Bronze Artist www.sonjametzler.com With each of my sculptures I strive to recreate the beauty I see around me. That beauty includes both African and American influences – having spent years in both places. I love nature and different cultures, and work to create pieces that strongly portray both love and emotion. Though I like detail in my work, simplicity in composition is also important to me. I love the flexibility of clay, and the permanence of bronze. I feel the volume and roundness, and enjoy recognizing all the planes that make up a form. Working with my fingertips and palms, or other tools discovered here and there to add detail. Once my piece is completed, it goes to a foundry to be cast in bronze.
