When Bozeman architect Van Bryan set out to design a home in the area of
Bozeman's Northeast neighborhood known as the Mill District, he knew
the project would be a challenging task in both configuration and style.
e trick, according to Van, would be figuring out how to create a modern structure that also
blended effortlessly with the historic area's longstanding status as the city's working district.
"is particular area on the Northeast side is kind of a transitional area," he explained.
"It is a bit industrial, a bit commercial, and a bit residential with
smaller houses, smaller lots, and high adjacency to the downtown area."
