BEKO ADDS HEAT PUMP DRYER TO CREATE INDUSTRY'S MOST SUSTAINABLE LAUNDRY APPLIANCE PAIR New Beko heat pump dryer is 60% more efficient than first-generation model Launched in the U.S. earlier this year, Beko's RecycledTub™- equipped washer is part of global line that has reused 114 million plastic bottles since 2017. Beko Home Appliances, the U.S. subsidiary of Arçelik, a global household appliances company, has added a next-generation heat pump dryer to its revolutionary washer made in part from recycled plastic water bottles to create the industry's most sustainable laundry pair. Introduced at KBIS 2022, the Beko 24" Front-Load Washer with RecycledTub™ made waves during last year's DesignBites, Best of KBIS 2022 Awards, and NKBA Thirty Under 30 Choice Award for its proprietary washtub made from 60 recycled plastic water bottles – part of a global Recycled Tub-equipped laundry line that has saved more than 114 million plastic water bottles from landfills since 2017. Now, Beko takes its commitment to laundry sustainability further with the KBIS 2023 launch of the Beko 24" Front-Load Heat Pump Dryer, a next-generation, WiFi-enabled dryer that is 60% more efficient than its predecessor and offers the proven technologies IronFinish™, SaniDry, and SaniFresh. The new ventless dryer uses a closed-loop heat exchange system to conserve and reuse hot air during tumble-dry cycles to remove moisture from clothes using half the energy of conventional vented dryers. Beko's latest-model dryer was presented in the Beko Booth (W3401) at the 2023 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), Jan. 31-Feb. 2, 2023 in Las Vegas. Like its 24" washer companion, it is certified ENERGY STAR ® Most Efficient and available at preferred home appliance dealers nationwide. After great success with heat pump dryers in Europe, where 60% of the dryer market is heat pump versus less than 1% in the U.S., Beko is emphasizing the sustainability and other benefits of heat pump dryers – reduced power use, a lower-temperature operation that is gentler on clothes, and easier installation without the need for ventilation – as part of this year's launch. "Beko's new laundry lineup for 2023 is among the most purposeful and sustainable on the market, and one of the few truly powerful washer and dryer pairs available at a reasonable price," said Justin Reinke, Beko's vice president of marketing.
