26 W hen the hearts of parliamentarians and policy makers are won for Christ and these men and women of power and influence are discipled by Bible-teaching evangelists, the Holy Spirit will lead them into truth. ese leaders will learn God's precepts and principles and begin to think biblically as they chart the trajectory of their nations. It is for this reason that Capitol Ministries takes the gospel to all who are in authority (1 Timothy 2:2) on foreign shores. CapMin's director of international ministries is Brian Hanson who oversees growth, development, and wellbeing of CapMin's sustainable international ministries which are being planted at an unexpect- edly fast pace. An enthusiastic evangelist and gied leader, Brian co-leads the weekly Bible study to Ohio legislators with his friend, Pastor Brian Solomon. Pastor Brian also works with CapMins' global directors who are charged with recruiting Bible- teaching evangelists to create discipleship ministries to political leaders in their geographical areas. ose global directors are Brian Solomon, North America; Oscar Zamora, Latin America and the Caribbean; Slavik Rimski, (volunteer), Eastern and Western Europe; Inoke Kubuabola, South Pacific; and Jon Cassel, Africa. CapMin is seeking men to fill the positions of global director for Asia and an assistant global director for South Pacific. CapMin's global directors are biblically reliant and mature-in-Christ men with the spiritual gis, expe- rience, education, networking skills, and abilities to successfully accomplish our objectives. Established in their regions, these men are mature Christians who are well connected in faith communities as well as political circles. With this international conduit in place, CapMin leaders from around the world will propel the mission forward through networking and relationship building. In the international arena, we employ the same successful CapMin model that has worked so well in our nation. Each global director is tasked with expanding the ministry in his sphere of the world by recruiting national Bible-teaching evangelists. CapMin then trains them to lead suc- cessful and sustainable ministries, and pairs them with Christian public servant sponsors who invite their colleagues to attend weekly Bible studies. anks to the dedication and hard work of CapMin's global directors, 16 new ministries were established this year. You will read about them in the following pages. Abundant food is in the fallow ground of the poor, but it is swept away by injustice. P r o v e r b s 1 3 : 2 3 "When I was a teenager, I asked God if He would please use me to change the world. I never knew what that meant, and I wondered if that would be speaking in large stadiums like Billy Graham. God, in His humor and direction, makes your paths straight. He has planted me in a ministry that I could never have imagined, one that has taken me to foreign nations where I've met the leaders of countries. I am an evangelist at heart, and while I will not be speaking before thousands of people like Billy Graham did, I am working with ministry leaders who are effecting the lives of thousands of people across the globe."
