PASTOR ION GROZA ran for the Moldova Parliament
on the principles of accountability and integrity among
public servants and was elected as an independent can-
didate in 2019. roughout his pastoral ministry, Pastor
Groza has taught messages on accountability and integ-
rity from the pul pit. Pastor Groza was reelected in 2021
and is part of the Government Coalition. He has the
heart of a true ser vant. When the Russian invasion of
Ukraine began, he was seen distributing home cooked
meals from the trunk of his car at the Ukraine-Moldova
border. Pastor Groza learned about CapMin's mission
from Valeriu Ghiletchi who has served several terms as a
Member of Moldovan Parliament. Pastor Valeriu is cur-
rently CapMin's minis try leader to the European Union.
Together with Pastor Valeriu, Pastor Groza co-chairs a
Bible-study based min istry for members of Moldovan
Parliament. As a next step he is working to launch a
ministry and Bible study for mayors in the Cahul region.
